John Dyer-Grimes with Kerosene architects
won an open competition to design a new
sports centre for a French suburb. Their idea
was to create a bold aerodynamic building,
which provides different elevations to each
function. A wave shaped roof was introduced
to allow spectacular light effects into the main
gymnasium. The timber clad back elevation sits
in harmony with the grass football pitches.
Client: St.Aubin Council
